About

The project Neptune’s Barista, an idea of Harm Jagerman, saw the light of day in December 2024. You have already read the most important information about it. Nevertheless, there is still plenty to tell. Decide for yourself whether to read on.
To be clear, this website is not about coffee. Neither is it about Neptune as a planet or the ancient Greek god.

By now, I have finished writing bios. The bio on the website of De Goede Huisvader (English: The Good Stay-at-home Dad) gives you an idea of what I did when it comes to my career.

So what about music? Ah, what can I say? When I was 14, I worked for a local radio station, and years ago I retired from being a radio DJ. I did so alongside my daily work, unpaid and with dedication and love. Music was always an important part of my life. Until I felt I had to start making it myself. At least, I wanted to combine tones.

Oh well, maybe it’s just a matter of conveying, sometimes, what I hear in my head. Tinnitus. One of about 30 side effects of my medication for chronic cluster headaches.

I told you. No coffee, no Neptune...

What about the name Neptune’s Barista, you may wonder. That name is simple to explain. The planet Neptune is intriguing. First of all, because we still know little about it and there is constant speculation about what might be found “after that”. Besides, the beautiful blue colour. I know, Uranus is also a nice bluish planet. Neptune has just a bit more.

What about barista then ? A barista on Neptune is not possible. Believe me. That’s the apparent contradiction. I don’t consider myself a musician. I do something with tones. Actually: I just do something. That has everything to do with my modesty. Besides, it also has to do with the idea that I like to drink coffee.
